312. Ringing bell (1978)

Country: Japan Directed by Masami Hata A quite unusual movie, as it doesnt fit to any of the standard anime categories,Ringing Bell somehow stays with you after you watch it and costantly you think about it. The beautiful but wild and brutal, totally indifferent for your personal drana, nature, the circle of life, the pain that can't be avoided, the weak who are destined to be slaughtered by the strong, the lonliness of not belonging somewhere, the feeling of helplesness and an end that doesnt give nor answers nor any relief. Very traumatizing for children but also, somehow, painful for adults too, Ringing Bell leaves you confused about what its creators wanted to achieve but nevertheless you keep watching it with weird, mixed feelings to grow inside you
