Mrinal Sen made this direct political movie/statement, taking clearly the side of Naxalites in the early 70's when Indian social system of inequality was been shaken from voices for radical change. Sen is narrating four short stories of misery , raw as they are, without to try to make the misery photogenic. The result is a punch in the stomach and a unique masterpiece of Indian cinema
