114. Intentions of murder (1964)

Country: Japan
Directed by Shohei Imamura

Surely I can say that is a movie that captures you since you begin to watch it as it is great visually , with beautiful black and white photography , experimental style, powerful music and great choise of the actors. Most of all has this unique view on things and often strangely contradicted characteristics that consist Imamura's cinematic world: is dark but full of irony, ugly but so beautiful at times, sensual and violent, insensitive to the characters as to be insects under the lens but at the same time camera it gets so close to them that you can listen their breaths and you can feel that their joys and dramas happen right next to you so much that you get drowned on them. A very modern film, way ahead of its time ,that I appreciate deeply
