In my opinion ,'Dolls' is an underrated masterpiece. Poetic, with magical use of colors, extremely beautiful visually. Full of violence but even more full of tenderness. The movie is about guilt and about real , extreme love. Each of the strange 'couples' in the movie is consisted by two people that are tied together with a strong invisible string : the life of one is absolutely depended of the way that the other 'moves'. As in the first seconds of the film , when we see a scene from a puppet theater , puppets and puppet master don't have any existence one without the other. The film though is really heartbreaking without to show mercy. But real love also is!
